The Starlite Diner was conceived and designed to attract a wide range of customers, including families, couples, single adults, as well as corporate clients and company happy hours. The unique structure now hosting our diner had once been the former Hess Shoe Store, dating back to the early 1950s. Together with Kuo Pao of PI.KL Design we played off the fun feel of the existing architecture, with a few updates here and there. Our goal was to re-inject a bit more of the mid-century retro flavor but to try and keep things light, fun and approachable.

We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, beginning at 11am Monday through Friday, as well as brunch on Saturday and Sunday starting at 9am. Two full bars remain open until 10pm Sunday thru Wednesday, 11pm on Thursday and 1am Friday and Saturday. The restaurant seats appx 200 people, including the main dining, bar areas and front patio.

Our menus draw on a range of mid-Atlantic, southern and southwest influences with a variety of vegetarian and more health conscious ingredients in step with today’s dining customer. We have a large menu with a variety of delicious, fun options.

The Starlite also offers full in-house baking from scratch, including eat in / carry out breakfast sweetbreads and pastries, as well as desserts, milkshakes, fresh squeezed juice, and local craft and boutique cocktails.

We are really excited to be here in North Baltimore, to be a part of the Belvedere Neighborhood and of course a part of the Belvedere Square family!  There are so many great vendors and businesses around us, it just feels really nice to be among all this positive energy.
